Tonnarelli is a typical pasta from Lazio, also known as Spaghetti alla Chitarra in the Abruzzo region.

Similar to Spaghetti, it has a square edge and is traditionally made using a "Chitarra" (guitar), a wooden frame strung whit wires through which the pasta sheet is pressed to obtain the characteristic shape.

Ideal served with "Cacio e Pepe", the classic Pecorino Romano cheese and fresh black pepper sauce from Rome.

This pasta is also perfect with really any sauce you love. Try it with pomodoro, mushrooms or simply your best olive oil and Parmigiano!
